RSRM is excited to announce that Tara A. Barnes has been named Managing Partner!
With over 20 years of practice, Tara has tried well over 100 cases at every court level. She is licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Supreme Court. Tara has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication to clients and commitment to RSRM’s values. A highly decorated attorney, Tara has received countless awards throughout her career, including the following most notable awards:

Tara was appointed by Maryland Governor Wes Moore as an Attorney Member of the Maryland Commission on Judicial Disabilities and is an Emeritus Chair of the Judicial Appointments Committee for the Maryland State Bar Association. She is a past President of The Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Monumental City Bar Association.
Tara’s dedication to the legal profession is unmatched. She has spoken on countless panels, training seminars, and bar association events. Tara trained staff at a juvenile detention facility on the court system and juvenile law and taught Political Science, Business Law, Appellate Advocacy, and the Ethics and Principles of Policing at the college level.
